VIG Launches Cybersecurity Firm CyRiSo
Vienna Insurance Group has launched CyRiSo, a cybersecurity firm tailored specifically to the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). CyRiSo is dedicated to helping these businesses mitigate cyber risks through proactive measures and comprehensive support in preventing and managing damage resulting from cyberattacks.
At the helm of CyRiSo are Christiana Bruckner and Michael Ganzwohl, both bringing extensive experience in cybersecurity and business development. Bruckner has a strong background in sales and business development, where she has collaborated with Austrian and international companies to establish new markets and customer segments for cybersecurity services, consulting, and software solutions. Her expertise spans strategies for driving growth and adoption within the cybersecurity industry, particularly in markets new to cybersecurity.
Ganzwohl, on the other hand, recently served as the CEO for the Asia-Pacific region of a prominent global cybersecurity consulting firm, based in Singapore. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding cybersecurity solutions across diverse markets, providing him with insights that he now brings to CyRiSo as it aims to serve SMEs with robust cyber defense strategies.
Christoph Rath, deputy member of the Managing Board at Vienna Insurance Group, emphasized the significance of CyRiSo’s role in VIG’s service offering: “As the largest insurance group in Central and Eastern Europe and the leading provider in corporate insurance, we recognize our responsibility to deliver comprehensive solutions that address the growing cyber threats in our region.
“Our offering goes beyond traditional insurance products. Through CyRiSo, we are now able to offer specialized cybersecurity expertise and solutions to SMEs, allowing them to tackle cyber threats with the full support of a dedicated partner. This reflects our commitment to safeguarding our clients’ businesses not only with insurance coverage but with the critical tools and services needed to build resilience against cyber risks.”
